Nur Daut, University of Kent at Brussels
Nur has begun a PhD in international relations with a focus on domestic negotiations.
Tom Roe, European Commission
My interests are include European international policies, in particular the European Union’s external relations, especially Europe-Asia Relations, and the global public policies, institutions and frameworks needed to better manage the challenges of globalization.
I am also interested in spatial and temporal dimensions of human identities and societies, including nationality and cultural identities, multivariate aspects of post-modern identities, contradictions and syncretic co-existences within identities, linear and non-linear notions of time, the role of body, physical possessions, house, garden, nature, landscape, and overlapping and multi-dimensional cultural spaces in the complex process of identities formation. The roles of memory, myth, narrative, and the performative dimensions of identities influenced by consumption patterns and rituals, media, migration and travel are also relevant.
